CURRICULUM Course

The Duration of the course is on year. There are 6 theory papers. Of them, 3 are core papers, 2 are optional papers and one is elective paper. Regarding practical, Internship of 40 working days will be arranged in recognized high / higher secondary, matriculation / matriculation higher secondary schools.

Eligibility

Only female candidates with the following marks in the bachelor’s degree are eligible for admission to the programme other than commerce for which PG Qualification will be mandatory.

However, the basis of selection shall be in accordance with the regulations of the University/ Government of Tamil Nadu Guidelines and norms of the college for admission to B.Ed. course in force from time to time.

The candidates should have passed the UG degree Examination in the 10+2+3 or 11+1+3 stream, with the main subject in Part III for which she is seeking admission in the B.Ed. College.

The candidates who have taken more than one main subjects in Part II (Double or Triple Major) of the UG Degree have to choose only one of the main subjects and apply that optional in B.Ed.

For the purpose of teaching practice, each student shall work as an apprentice under a selected teacher in a recognized school and under the General supervisions of the Principal and Teachers of the college concerned.

Each student has to meet the requirements of the Schools based and community based activities as specified in the syllabus for the successful completion of the course.
